We are happy to announce that we are once again ready to accept Development Permit applications for construction projects on your lot. The Municipal District has prepared a guide defining the lot setbacks and other restrictions as they will be enforced at the Resort. This Development Permit Guide, including the required application form, is now available in the Other Useful Items section of our home page. A map showing your lot plan is also available to assist in preparing the diagram on page 3 of your application, please contact Curtis for a copy.
The Municipal District is likely going to set their permit fees to $125 (or $50 for smaller projects). Note that not all construction projects will require a development permit (or a fee). However, as stipulated in the lease agreement, “all structures or buildings erected on the Lot or affixed to the Living Units, which are intended to remain for a period of seven (7) consecutive regular days” will require approval from Resort management. In these cases, only the diagram is needed. Please see the guide for more information.
As mentioned in the guide, “anyone proceeding with a development without a valid permit does so at their own risk and is subject to a $500 fine” from the Municipal District. It is expected that there will be several applications submitted over the next few months, so please have patience when waiting for yours to be processed. If you are planning on doing any work on your lot this summer, get your application submitted soon in case there are any problems that need to be worked out.
